1. Map your "Dead Zones"
You don't need expensive gear. Grab your phone, open Speedtest.net.ar, and walk around your house.
- Benchmark: Test speed right next to the router. That is your 100%.
- Distance Test: Go to the furthest room. If speed drops below 20% of your benchmark, you have a dead zone.
- Obstacle Test: Test behind thick walls, large mirrors, or appliances.
2. The Golden Rule: 2.4GHz vs 5GHz
Most modern routers broadcast two networks. Knowing which one to use is key.
5GHz
- Max Speed (Ideal for fiber)
- Less interference with neighbors
- Shorter range (bad at penetrating walls)
- USE FOR: TV, Consoles, PC
2.4GHz
- Long range (penetrates walls)
- Slow speed (in practice ~50-80 Mbps)
- High interference (Microwaves, Bluetooth)
- USE FOR: Far phones, Smart Home
3. Router Placement
The router is like a lightbulb. If you hide it in a drawer, it won't light up the house.
✅ Where to put it
- Central location in the house
- Elevated (on a high shelf)
- Line of sight to where you use it most
❌ Where to AVOID it
- Inside closets or drawers
- Behind the TV (metal blocks signal)
- Near mirrors, fish tanks, or microwaves

4. Is someone stealing your WiFi?
If internet is slow, someone might be leeching. Access your router settings (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) and look for "Connected Clients" or "DHCP Clients". If you see unknown devices, change your password immediately!
Confirmá tu WiFi con datos reales
Corré el test cerca y lejos del router y mirá cuánto cae la señal. El diagnóstico con inteligencia artificial te dice si el problema es tu WiFi o tu proveedor.
